DESCRIPTION:The 9th EBSI-SIS Symposium will be held at the McGill School of
  Information Studies on Friday\, January 29\, 2016 from 1-6 pm. This annua
 l event is organized by students at the School of Information Studies at M
 cGill University and EBSI at the Université de Montréal.\n\nThe purpose of
  the symposium is to provide SIS and EBSI faculty and students\, including
  PhD\, post-doctoral\, and master's level students\, with the opportunity 
 to present their work to their peers in a nurturing environment. Students 
 and faculty can solicit feedback from symposium attendees in order to impr
 ove papers\, posters\, and presentations for later use in academic and pro
 fessional conferences and journals\, if desired. The symposium also provid
 es an opportunity to discover research being done by other students and fa
 culty and to make connections in areas of interest.\n\nPresentations\, pos
 ters\, training in scientific communication\, networking opportunities and
  food are all included. Come enjoy - the event is free of charge! Registra

 f Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T) McGill Student Chapter is plea
 sed to invite submissions for student presentations and posters to be feat
 ured at the 2016 EBSI-SIS Symposium. The organizers have decided to eschew
  a formal theme this year\, opting instead for an inclusive feel – if you 
 have something exciting to say about information science (either practical
  or theoretical)\, especially as it relates to technology\, and would like
  to participate in this year's Symposium\, as either a speaker or a poster
  presenter\, please complete this form. Authors may submit their proposal 
 until January 5\, 2016\, and will be notified of the decision by January 2
 0th. Presenters must register for the conference. We do accept work that w
 ill be presented elsewhere. \n\n\nFor more information about the symposium
