 inar on classification scheme change with guest lecturer Joseph T. Tennis.
   In his talk Professor Tennis will outline the agenda of studying classif
 ication scheme change\, enumerate the types and varieties of evidence for 
 scheme change\, and then address the epistemic and methodological issues r
 elated to how change is studied. Some theories of history and theories of 
 time scales in relation to this question of data methodology will be sampl
 ed.  Joseph T. Tennis is an Assistant Professor at the Information School 
 of the University of Washington\, a member of the Textual Studies faculty 
 at UW\, an Associate Member of the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Study
  at The University of British Columbia. He has been a visiting scholar at 
 the State University of São Paulo since 2009.  Everyone is welcome.
