A question period is scheduled on the Senate agenda for each meeting. Any senator may submit a written question or motion before a Senate meeting (see deadlines and templates below) for review by the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee has the delegated authority of Senate to make a determination on the admissibility of questions and motions.

Deadlines
The deadline for submitting questions and motions is 5:00 p.m. on:
Thursday, September 1, 2022, for consideration by the Senate Steering Committee on September 6, 2022.
Thursday, September 29, 2022, for consideration by the Senate Steering Committee on October 4, 2022.
Thursday, October 27, 2022, for consideration by the Senate Steering Committee on November 1, 2022.
Thursday, November 17, 2022, for consideration by the Senate Steering Committee on November 22, 2022.
Thursday, January 5, 2023, for consideration by the Senate Steering Committee on January 10, 2023.
Thursday, February 2, 2023, for consideration by the Senate Steering Committee on February 7, 2023.
Thursday, March 9, 2023, for consideration by the Senate Steering Committee on March 14, 2023.
Thursday, March 30, 2023, for consideration by the Senate Steering Committee on April 4, 2023.
Thursday, April 27, 2023, for consideration by the Senate Steering Committee on May 2, 2023.
Questions or motions submitted after the deadline will be considered by the Senate Steering Committee at a subsequent meeting.
