The Story

The McGill University Sailing Team is a self-funded, student-run, co-ed, competitive athletics club composed of 30 McGill undergraduate students. With a group of talented sailors with great potential, we compete in the Canadian Intercollegiate Sailing Association (CISCSA) and the New England intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA). Currently, we are ranked the best team in Canada and compete with top American Teams such as Yale, Dartmouth and Tufts. Our Team has made major strides in competition in the past years and is on track to continue this trend!

To maintain the high level of competition we strive for, we aim to raise $8,000 to fund new equipment such as sails, and better transportation for our sailors. Our sailors are incredibly devoted, often spending up to three hours a day on the metro to get to and from practice. In addition to the large time commitment for practices, sailors frequently spend many weekends travelling to race across Canada and New England.

The McGill University Sailing Team is a tight-knit community that provides support and mentorship both on and off the water. We hope you will your support to help us excel in the sport we love most- Sailing - so we can reach our goal of becoming a nationally and internationally recognized competitor!
