My research examines how multilingualism develops when input to some languages is reduced. I mainly focus on trilingual language acquisition in elementary school children in Montreal, investigating how varying exposure levels influence linguistic outcomes. My work aims to identify the factors that facilitate or hinder the acquisition process in a trilingual setting, shedding light on the interplay between language input, cognitive mechanisms, metalinguistic awareness, and environmental influences.
