Each week a research assistant will perform a mutagenesis and the student will pick individual animals to individual plates and screen the progeny for the mutant phenotype. Identified mutants will be categorized and complementation tests will be performed on similar mutants. The student will be expected to read relevant background literature, and attend regular meetings.
