Project title: Active Object Cache

Project description (50-100 words suggested): This project will develop an object cache on top of a key/value cache. The idea is that a client can store an object including its class definition in the cache, and later manipulate the object through method invocations. Depending on how the project proceed, a pub/sub infrastructure can be put on top of this active object cache, such that other clients can subscribe to an object in the cache and receive updates whenever the object changes.

Prerequisite: 1 term completed at McGill + CGPA of 3.0 or higher; or permission of instructor.

Grading scheme (The final report must be worth at least 50% of final grade): Final grade shall be based on the design and implementation of the active object cache (40%), a final written report (50%), and a presentation (10%).

Project status: This project is taken. The professor has no more '396' projects this term.
