Project title: Inhibition of Ich towards a new treatment for antibiotic resistant infections

Project description (50-100 words suggested): The project will involve the synthesis of molecules with the potential to inhibit the bacterial enzyme Ich. If time allows, the student may test his/her compounds in the biological assay developed by the group.

Prerequisite: 1 term completed at McGill + CGPA of 3.0 or higher; or permission of instructor.

Grading scheme (The final report must be worth at least 50% of final grade): Set by Dr. Ian Butler in charge of the course
