Project title: Imaginal discs developmental chart in the ant species Pheidole morrisi

Project description (50-100 words suggested): Establish an imaginal discs developmental chart in Pheidole morrisi. The student will be asked to check in the ant colonies to collect soldier larvae of different developmental stages, to measure, fix, dissect and image them and measure their imaginal discs in order to be able to associate the length of a larva with the size of its imaginal discs.

Prerequisite: 1 term completed at McGill + CGPA of 3.0 or higher; or permission of instructor.

Grading scheme (The final report must be worth at least 50% of final grade): Theory (25%) Experimental (25%) Final Report (50%)
