Project title: relA and spoT mutations in P. aeruginosa clinical isoaltes
Project description: The student will extract DNA from a collection of P. aeruginosa clinical isolates from cystic fibrosis patients. He will sequence the relA and spoT genes and perform sequencing alignment to identify mutations, focusing on non-synonymous mutations.
Prerequisite: 1 term completed at McGill + CGPA of 3.0 or higher; or permission of instructor.

Grading scheme (The final report must be worth at least 50% of final grade): Final grade will be based on laboratory performance as evaluated by the supervisor (50%) and the final written research report granted by the supervisor and course coordinator (min 10 pages, 50%)
