 d representative workforce. This workshop is intended for HR professionals
 \, hiring managers/committee members\, and anyone interested in developing
  capacity in equitable hiring practices. \n\nBy attending this workshop\, 
 participants will be better able to: \n\n\n	\n		Understand the context\, comm
 itments\, and policy/legal frameworks of employment equity at McGill \n	\n
 \n\n\n	\n		Develop steps for an effective\, strategic\, and equitable search 
 for staff that leads to the hiring of excellent candidates \n	\n\n\n\n	\n		Ide
 ntify and address barriers at all stages of the search\, including in job 
 descriptions\, sourcing/recruitment\, screening\, interviews\, assessments
 \, offers and onboarding \n	\n\n\n\n	\n		Receive guidance on how to apply the 
 equivalency class protocol to the hiring process \n	\n\n\n \n\nNote that an
