Prof. Bennett moved, seconded by Mr. Harron, that the amended Agenda be approved. The motion carried. (2) MINUTES OF OCTOBER 21, 2003 AC-03- 65 Mr. Harron moved, seconded by Ms. Malone, that the minutes be approved. The motion carried. (3) BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES - Minute 212.1, Course Evaluations 303.1 Associate Dean Mendelson said he was in the process of collecting information concerning course evaluations from units, and would be able to report the results to a future Academic Committee meeting. He also said that the University was considering implementing a university-wide Web-based system for course evaluations. (4) MINOR COURSE CHANGES AC-03- 66 (for information) (5) B.A.Sc. MAJOR CONCENTRATION IN BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES AC-03-7(REV) 305.1 A member pointed out that while ANAT 262 was not currently an official prerequisite for ANAT 365, it would be made a prerequisite in the near future. 305.2 After some discussion, Associate Dean Mendelson suggested approving the proposal pending resolution of the problem. Prof. Bennett moved, seconded by Prof. Wechsler, that the program be adopted with the above proviso. The motion carried. (6) PSYCHOLOGY New Course: PSYC 395 Psychology Research Project 1 AC-03- 68 3 credits Associate Dean Mendelson moved, seconded by Prof. Cline, that the course be adopted. The motion carried. New Course: PSYC 494 Psychology Research Project AC-03- 69 6 credits Associate Dean Mendelson moved, seconded by Prof. Cline, that the course be adopted. The motion carried. 306.1 Associate Dean Mendelson reminded members that it was a McGill policy that Academic Integrity statements be included in course outlines. Also, for the above two courses, the statement "There is no supplemental examination in this course" should be replaced by "There is no option for additional work in this course." New Course: PSYC 541 Multilevel Modeling AC-03-70 3 credits 306.2 Change in course description: replace "..and are expected to get.." with "..and will get.." Associate Dean Mendelson moved, seconded by Prof. Yau, that the course be adopted. The motion carried. Secretary's Note: No consultation reports were seen at the Academic Committee meeting. The motion to table the proposals carried. 308.2 Dean Shaver asked the Department of Chemistry to address the issue of courses CHEM 661, CHEM 662 and CHEM 763, when resubmitting the proposals.
