What is Mini-Science?

Mini-Science is an educational outreach program designed to offer the public an insider's view of science. McGill University’s Faculty of Science is once again sponsoring this unique 7-week public lecture series. Beginning in April 2009, some of the university’s top professors and an astronaut will offer mini-courses that will enlighten, entertain and demystify their cutting-edge research in a wide variety of disciplines. All you need is a sense of curiosity and a few free evenings!

Each evening will focus on a single topic, and will consist of a lecture followed by a question and answer session. Each lecture will build on the previous one and the semester will end with a graduation ceremony where students who have attended a minimum of six lectures will receive a diploma.

Mini-Science will be presented in English, but questions may be posed in English or French.
