Join guide-in-training, Jacky Farrell (McGill Science Outreach), for a Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) walk in the Morgan Arboretum. Forest Bathing helps us slow down, open our senses and follow our curiosities. What a great way to take a nourishing break, recharge and celebrate winter.

December 15, 10:00-12:00
For adults. (No dogs.) Space is limited and registration is required by December 14th at 6:00 pm. Please register here.
Please note: because space is limited, registration does not guarantee a spot. Confirmation will be sent December 14th.

·       This session is being offered free of charge (a value of $25/person) by McGill University to members of the Morgan Arboretum. Non-members pay only the daily admission fee that includes parking ($8/adult: debit or credit only).

·       Meet at the Conservation Center at 9:50 am to check in. We’ll be leaving at 10:00.

·       Bring a water bottle filled with water (there is no potable water onsite), walking poles and crampons  if needed, hand/toe warmers if needed and a small waterproof mat or folding tripod stool if you have one so that you can sit at different moments. We will also have small mats to share with you if needed.

·       Dress warmly for the weather and in layers, as we'll be moving slowly: we suggest snow pants or other warm pants, wool sweater layered over a warm shirt, wool tuque, wool socks, warm mittens, warm boots for walking on snow and possibly ice – slightly uphill and downhill. Check the trail conditions on the Arboretum's website and bring crampons if it's icy.

·       Tip: when you arrive at the Arboretum, change your socks so that the ones you're wearing to start the walk are warm and dry.

For everyone's safety, this walk will be cancelled in the case of freezing rain or heavy snow.

Your participation will be confirmed December 14th.
