Division of Rheumatology

Welcome to McGill University’s Division of Rheumatology

The Rheumatology Division at McGill has a long history of excellence in patient care, research, teaching and academic social responsibility. We provide care at our general rheumatology clinics as well as in our specialized pediatric and adult programs for Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Scleroderma, Muscle Disease, Bone Disease and Chronic Pain Syndromes.

Our rheumatologists provide care at Montreal area hospitals including the Royal Victoria, Montreal General, Montreal Neurological Institute, Montreal Chest Institute, St. Mary’s, Lakeshore General, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, Montreal Children’s Hospital and the Jewish General Hospital. We also provide consultative services with the Constance Lethbridge Rehabilitation Center and the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital.

We also have a rich and diverse portfolio of innovative research in basic and clinical sciences to improve existing treatments and search for ways to cure rheumatic conditions. Research within the Division of Rheumatology is supported by an extensive portfolio of grants and awards from federal and provincial health institutes and foundations including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Fonds de la Recherche en Santé Quebec, the National Institutes of Health, the Arthritis Society of Canada and many other private/public partnerships.

Our dynamic pediatric and adult Rheumatology Training Programs provides a rich academic learning environment for medical students, residents, fellows and community and academic physicians from around the globe who come to McGill to work with us and our patients.
