Biography:
Dr. Marcel (Marc) Baltzan, a graduate in pulmonology and of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Dr. Baltzan is an associate professor of medicine at McGill University. He is a clinician at the Institute of Sleep Medicine in Montréal and at the Mount Sinai and St Mary's hospitals. He participates in research into respiratory diseases, fatigue and sleep disorders, and teaches the subject of "Evidence based medicine" to McGill students. He was promoted to Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in 2010 following his contributions to the science and care of patients with sleep disorders. He is currently beginning a study of the comparative mortality of sleep disorders in the Canadian population.
