DESCRIPTION:This session will be hosted virtually – the link and password w
 ill be provided to those who RSVP\n\nThe purpose of this program is to fos
 ter a new generation of researchers within the university research and tea
 ching community by assisting new researchers who have just launched their 
 academic career to become established as independent researchers and becom
 e competitive nationally and internationally. The program also seeks to st
 rengthen the research system by encouraging new researchers to develop ori
 ginal avenues of research.\n\nResearchers with projects in the natural sci
 ences\, mathematical sciences and engineering who are planning to apply to
  the upcoming FRQNT Research Support for New Academics competition (2025-2
 026) are encouraged to attend this information session\, which will includ
 e:\n\n\n	A presentation about the objectives and application requirements o
 f the FRQNT Research Support for New Academics Grants by Catherine Karelis
 \, Grants and Agreements Officer OSR\;\n	A presentation on tips and best pr
 actices for preparing a successful FRQNT application by Prof. Audrey Sedal
  (Department of Mechanical Engineering).\n	A question and answer period whe
 re participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have ab
 out the program or the application process.\n\n\nThose who are unable to a
 ttend or who wish to provide their questions in advance are invited to sen
