DESCRIPTION:In June 2021\, the Fonds de Recherche du Québec (FRQ) became a 
 member of cOAlition S\, an international consortium of research funding an
 d performing organizations that is committed to the Plan S initiative. Pla
 n S is a 10-principle strategy launched in September 2018 to support immed
 iate open access to publications. In Summer 2022\, the FRQ released its im
 plementation guidelines for an updated Open Access (OA) policy aligned wit
 h Plan S principles (“Politique de diffusion en libre accès”)\, which incl
 ude requirements for immediate free access to peer-reviewed journal public
 ations.\n\nThe McGill Library will be hosting information sessions about t
 he FRQ Open Access Policy. These information sessions will review the majo
 r changes due to this policy update and will outline campus support for Op
