DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the FRQSC Research Support for New Academics pro
 gram is to enable the completion of an individual research project\; help 
 support a new generation of researchers and university instructors by assi
 sting new academics embarking upon their careers in establishing themselve
 s as independent researchers and becoming competitive at the national and 
 international levels\; consolidate the research system by supporting up-an
 d-coming research academics and incite new research academics who are begi
 nning their careers to develop original research avenues.\n\nEmerging rese
 archers in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literature who are pl
 anning to apply to the upcoming FRQSC Research Support for New Academics 2
 021 competition are encouraged to attend this information session\, which 
 will include:\n\nA brief introduction about the objectives and application
  requirements of the FRQSC Research Support for New Academics Program by  
 Joanna Mastalerek\, Grants and Agreements Officer\, Office of Sponsored Re
 search\;\n \n\nA presentation from Prof. Ignacio Cofone who will share his
  insights for preparing a successful proposal\;\n \n\nA question and answe
 r period where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they
  may have about the program or the application process.\n		Those who are una
 ble to attend or wish to provide their questions in advance are invited to
  send their inquiries to Joanna Mastalerek (ext. 7300) in advance so that 
 they may be included in the session.\nThis session will be hosted on Zoom 
 – link and password will be provided to those who RSVP.\n	McGill credential
 s will be required log in.\n\nPlease RSVP before Monday\, May 31\, 2021 12
 :00 p.m. at the following link.\n\nThe meeting will not be recorded\, but 
 the presentation will be available after the meeting. \n
