DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the SSHRC Insight Grant Program is to provide su
 pport for long-term research initiatives of two to five years for emerging
  and established scholars in the social sciences and humanities.\n\nResear
 chers in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literature who are plan
 ning to apply to the upcoming SSHRC Insight Grant fall 2019 competition ar
 e encouraged to attend this information session\, which will include:\n\nA
  presentation about the objectives and application requirements of the SSH
 RC Insight Grants program by Maureen Donato and Karen Schmidt\, Grants and
  Agreement Officers\, OSR\;\n	A presentation from Dr. Iwao Hirose (Departme
 nt of Philosophy) and Alanna Klein (Faculty of Law) who have served on SSH
 RC Insight Grant adjudication committees. They will share information and 
 insights about the peer-review system and strategies for preparing a succe
 ssful Insight Grant proposal\;\n	A question and answer period where partici
 pants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the pr
 ogram or the application process.\n		Those who are unable to attend or who m
 ay not feel comfortable sharing their questions are invited to send their
