 The Office of Sponsored Research is pleased to invite McGill researchers a
 nd administrators to an information session on the Killam Program.  Resear
 chers who anticipate submitting an application to the 2019 Killam Research
  Fellowship competition are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting as 
 are potential nominators and/or nominees for the 2019 Killam Prize.\n\nKIL
 LAM RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS\n\nFellowships are offered on a competitive basis
  to support distinguished Canadian researchers\, normally full professors 
 in Canadian universities\, in any of the following broad fields: humanitie
 s\, social sciences\, natural sciences\, health sciences\, engineering and
  studies linking any of the disciplines within these broad fields. Canadia
 n citizens or permanent residents of Canada may hold the Fellowships. The 
 Fellowships provide two years of full release from teaching and administra
 tive duties. The fellowship funds are paid to the university or research i
 nstitute to relieve the fellow of all teaching and administrative responsi
 bilities while continuing to pay the fellow’s full salary and benefits dur
 ing the entire period of the fellowship.\n\n \n\nKILLAM PRIZES\n\nUp to fi
 ve prizes are given annually to eminent Canadian scholars in recognition o
 f distinguished career achievement in the natural sciences\, health scienc
 es\, engineering\, social sciences and humanities. Nominees must be Canadi
 an citizens.\n\n \n\nINFORMATION SESSION\n\nLuiza Pereira\, Program Office
 r\, Canada Council for the Arts\, will present a webinar covering the foll
 owing topics:\n\nHistorical overview of the Killam Program.\n	Statistical i
 nformation on past recipients.\n	Overview of eligibility and application re
 quirements.\n	Tips on how to improve the application/nomination.\n	Informati
 on on the submission process.\n \n\nA general question period will follow
