DESCRIPTION:McGill University’s Office of Sponsored Research is hosting an 
 information session on a funding opportunity through the NSERC  Collaborat
 ive Research and Training Experience Program (CREATE). \n\nThe goal of thi
 s program is to support the development by groups of researchers of innova
 tive training programs for students (mainly graduate)\, using interdiscipl
 inary/integrative approaches and complementary professional training to pr
 oduce a highly qualified workforce for industry\, government\, non-governm
 ental organizations\, and/or academia. Participation of PDFs is encouraged
  insofar as they bring clear benefits to the students’ training.\n\nProgra
 ms build on existing university courses and may include aspects of health 
 sciences and social sciences and humanities if beneficial to the students.
  Priority areas are: environmental science and technologies\, natural reso
 urces and energy\, manufacturing\, and ICTs\, but other areas are acceptab
 le.\n\nThree streams are offered:\n\n-      regular (incl. internship and 
 partnering opportunities)\;\n\n-      industrial (50% of the awards - focu
 s on job-readiness\, with mandatory internships\, industry collaborations 
 and specific professional training)\; and\n\n-      international (for Ger
 man-Canadian training programs only – see website for details).\n\n \n\nAg
