DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the SSHRC Insight Grant Program is to provide su
 pport for long-term research initiatives of 3 to 5 years for emerging and 
 established scholars in the social sciences and humanities.\n\nResearchers
  in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literature who are planning 
 to apply to the upcoming SSHRC Insight Grant fall 2017 competition are enc
 ouraged to attend this information session\, which will include:\n\nBrief 
 presentation about the objectives and application requirements of the SSHR
 C Insight Grant Program by Joanna Mastalerek and Maureen Donato\, Grants O
 fficers\, Social Sciences and Humanities\;\n	Presentations from Prof. Chris
  Barrington-Leigh (School of the Environment) and Prof. Mela Sarkar (Integ
 rated Studies in Education) who were successful applicants to the program 
 and/or have served on adjudication committees and will provide potential a
 pplicants with information about the peer-review system and strategies for
  preparing a successful proposal\;\n	A question and answer period where par
 ticipants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about th
 e program or the application process. \n	\n	 Those who are unable to attend 
 or who may not feel comfortable sharing their questions are invited to sen
 d their inquiries to maureen [dot] donato [at] mcgill [dot] ca (Maureen Do
