DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the SSHRC Partnership Development Grant Program 
 is to provide support over one to three years for teams working in formal 
 collaboration between postsecondary institutions and/or organizations of v
 arious types in the social sciences and humanities.\n\nResearchers in soci
 al sciences and humanities\, arts and literature who are planning to apply
  to the upcoming SSHRC Partnership Development Grant (PDG) competition are
  encouraged to attend this information session\, which will include:\n\n· 
       A brief presentation about the objectives and application requiremen
 ts of the SSHRC PDG Program by Michelle Picard-Aitken\, Grants and Agreeme
 nts Officer\, Social Sciences and Humanities\;\n\nInformation about the pe
 er-review system and strategies for preparing a successful proposal from P
 rof. Sarah Turner (Department of Geography)\, speaking from her experience
  as a PDG selection committee member and award holder\; and\n\n·       A q
 uestion and answer period where participants will be encouraged to raise a
 ny questions they may have about the program or the application process. 
 \n\nThose who are unable to attend or who may not feel comfortable sharing
  their questions are invited to send their inquiries to Michelle Picard-Ai
 tken (ext. 3348) in advance so that they may be included in the session.\n
