 ponsored Research is pleased to invite early career faculty members\, seni
 or PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows to an outreach session focusing
  on the available programs sponsored by the Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) F
 oundation. Guest speaker\, Alex Kuznetsov (Humboldt Foundation Liaison Off
 ice in Canada) will presenting information on funding opportunities in Ger
 many.\n	The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation grants research fellowships a
 nd research awards to highly qualified scholars and scientists from all co
 untries and from all fields of research.\nThe Alexander von Humboldt Found
 ation provides fully funded opportunities for young scholars (within 12 ye
 ars of attaining a Ph.D.) to visit Germany and carry out research with Ger
 man scholars for varying lengths of time. It is ideal for a post-doctoral 
 fellowship experience or that first sabbatical leave for new faculty. The 
 presentation will outline some of the unique funding opportunities and the
 re will be Humboldt scholars from McGill in attendance to share their own 
 experiences.\n	The programs of the Humboldt Foundation fall into two catego
 ries: There are programs for scholars and scientists who are resident outs
 ide of Germany when they apply\, and there are programs for scholars and s
 cientists who are resident in Germany at the time of application.\nThis In
 teractive Information Session organized by the Humboldt Foundation Liaison
  Office in Canada\, and McGill University introduces the Alexander von Hum
 boldt Foundation to potential researchers and gives them insights into wha
 t kind of research and funding opportunities are available for talented re
