 e Canada Council for the Arts is coordinating visits to universities to pr
 ovide information and advice on the Killam Program.\nA representative from
  the Canada Council for the Arts will give a general presentation on the K
 illam Program. The presentation will include historical and statistical in
 formation\, explanations on eligibility and application requirements\, tip
 s on how to improve one's application and information on the electronic fi
 ling process. The presentation will be followed by a general question peri
 od. Individuals will be available to meet with the representative after th
 e presentation to discuss their individual cases.\nResearchers who anticip
 ate submitting an application to the 2015 Killam Research Fellowship compe
 tition are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting as are potential nom
 inators and/or nominees for the 2015 Killam Prize.\nKILLAM RESEARCH FELLOW
 SHIPS are offered on a competitive basis to support distinguished Canadian
  researchers\, normally full professors in Canadian universities\, in any 
 of the following broad fields: humanities\, social sciences\, natural scie
 nces\, health sciences\, engineering and studies linking any of the discip
 lines within these broad fields. Canadian citizens or permanent residents 
 of Canada may hold the Fellowships. The Fellowships provide two years of f
 ull release from teaching and administrative duties. The fellowship funds 
 are paid to the university or research institute that employs the fellow t
 o relieve him or her of all teaching and administrative responsibilities w
 hile continuing to pay the fellow’s full salary and benefits during the en
 tire period of the fellowship.\nKILLAM PRIZES: Up to five prizes of $100\,
 000 each are given annually to eminent Canadian scholars in recognition of
  distinguished career achievement in the natural sciences\, health science
 s\, engineering\, social sciences and humanities respectively. Nominees mu
