 ing Experience (CREATE) Program competition\, NSERC will be holding an inf
 ormation session in webinar format\, after which participants will be able
  to communicate their questions by teleconference.\n \nPlease RSVP to Laur

 or selecting proposals to submit to the LOI will be addressed following th

 rative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) Program \n\n\nDescription
 :\n \n\nThis program supports the training of teams of highly qualified st
 udents and postdoctoral fellows from Canada and abroad through the develop
 ment of innovative training programs that encourage collaborative and inte
 grative approaches\, and address significant scientific challenges associa
 ted with Canada’s research priorities\; and facilitate the transition of n
 ew researchers from trainees to productive employees in the Canadian workf
 orce.\nThese innovative programs must include the acquisition and developm
 ent of important professional skills among students and postdoctoral fello
 ws that complement their qualifications and technical skills.\nPrograms sh
 ould encourage the following as appropriate:\n\nstudent mobility\, nationa
 lly or internationally\, between individual universities and between unive
 rsities and other sectors\;\ninterdisciplinary research within the natural
  sciences and engineering (NSE)\, or at the interface between the NSE and 
 health\, or the social sciences and humanities. However\, the main focus o
 f the training must still lie within the NSE\;\nincreased collaboration be
 tween industry and academia\; and\nwith the addition of the industrial str
 eam\, an additional objective is to support improved job-readiness within 
 the industrial sector by exposing participants to the specific challenges 
 of this sector and training people with the skills identified by industry.
