 s\nBy Dr. Lorne A. Babiuk\, 2013 Killam Prize Winner in Health Sciences201
4 Canada Council Killam Prize Lecture Series\n\nVaccines have saved more l
ives than all other therapies. Dr. Babiuk will describe new formulations a
nd vaccine delivery methods that can further reduce morbidity and mortalit
y in humans. Since over 70% of newly emerged diseases are transmitted from
animals to humans\, developing dual-use vaccines to prevent their spread
from animals to humans is critical. Controlling disease in animals has the
potential to increase food security in developing countries and improve t
heir economic stability.\nSeating is limited and on a first-come\, first-s
erved basis. Registration is appreciated. A reception will follow.\nClick
