Are you curious to see if your work and interests could lead to a collaboration with someone in music, electrical engineering, experimental medicine, or biochemistry? Actually, in any field? Consider opening your lab!
Open Labs is an initiative of the Associate Vice-Principal (Innovation and Partnerships) Prof. Sylvain Coulombe, to initiate cross-disciplinary collaborations across the McGill campuses and Research Institutes. It aims to diversify our range of collaborative research activities, enhance our abilities to secure competitive funding from cross-disciplinary tri-council funding programs, and to deliver broad-ranging and meaningful impacts on society.
Participating in Open Labs is a simple three-step process:
- Create a simple profile document for your laboratory or creation area.
- Inform the Innovation and Partnership (I+P) contact person noted below of your labs’ availabilities and who will be responsible for this initiative in your team. I+P will post your labs’ availabilities on a calendar of Open Labs sessions, which is published on the I+P website.
- Arrange for the Open Labs sessions whenever someone expresses an interest.
Participate once, twice, or on a recurrent basis. This is your choice!
