McGill talks new collaborations with Chinese ministry

Published: 3 December 2012

McGill Principal and Vice-Chancellor Heather Munroe-Blum recently met with senior leadership at the Chinese Ministry of Education and China Scholarship Council, during her visit to Beijing on November 15 and 16.

The meetings were important opportunities for McGill to strengthen relationships with Chinese education leaders, to explore new areas of scientific collaboration, to highlight McGill’s international excellence, and to reconfirm the University’s commitment to enhancing its teaching and research collaborations with China.

Most notably, Prof. Munroe-Blum and her counterparts discussed the success of the China Scholarship Program, through which McGill welcomed 34 graduate and postdoctoral students from China last year.
