The Office of the Vice-Principal (Research and Innovation) and McGill Library are happy to announce the launch of the McGill Research Data Management (RDM) Learning Program. This program focuses on building knowledge and skills to meet your RDM needs during your day-to-day research activities.

The initial program has 6 modules:

  • Basic RDM
  • Data Management Plan Writing
  • Research Data Confidentiality
  • Common Practices on Documentation
  • Data Storage
  • Data Sharing and Deposit

Each module will cover RDM topics that are most relevant in a typical research context at McGill. Typical components of a module include a short learning video, examples, interactive exercises, and links to internal and external resources.

Learners from all levels (e.g., PIs, postdocs, research associates, graduate and undergraduate students) are welcome to join this self-paced independent learning program (non-credited). By completing more than 90% of the module contents in this program, learners will have the opportunity to earn a McGill RDM Learning Program Completion Badge.

You may access the McGill Research Data Management Learning Program within MyCourses. McGill user name and password are required to login.
