NSERC Discovery Grants Program Information Session for Researchers in Life Sciences

Description: This information session is held particularly for the researchers applying to Evaluation Groups 1501 (Genes, Cells and Molecules) and 1502 (Biological Systems and Functions). The goal is to provide tips on transforming unfunded CIHR applications into successful Discovery Grant proposals well in line with NSERC’s mandate and evaluation criteria. The session includes:

• An overview by Melissa Li, Grants Officer, Office of Sponsored Research;
• A presentation by Céline Bérubé, Ph.D., Team Leader of Research Grants, Life Sciences, NSERC;
• A presentation by Dr. Mathieu Blanchette, Associate Professor, School of Computer Science, Faculty of Science; Committee member on Evaluation Group 1501; and
• A Q&A period.
