The events are being held in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Indonesia-Canada diplomatic relations.

McGill will welcome a 50-member delegation of dancers and musicians from the Indonesian Institute of Art, Yogyakarta, and the Indonesian Gondang Orchestra.

They will participate in three events:

The artists will present a colourful program of traditional Indonesian dance and musical styles from regions across their multicultural and diverse country. Representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will accompany the performers.

All sessions are free, open to the public, and take place in Tanna Schulich Hall (527 Sherbrooke Street West). No registration required.

The Institute of Islamic Studies gratefully acknowledges the generous support of the State of Qatar for this event.

This event is presented in association with the Andre Rossinger Lectureship Fund.
