Friends of the Redpath Museum

Friends of the Redpath Museum is an advisory group that promotes and supports the Museum's public program. 

The Friends help with Museum fund-raising, welcome visitors during public events such as Montreal Museums Day, Nuit blanche and Homecoming McGill and hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Council of the Friends of the Redpath Museum was held on July 13, 2020 via Zoom.

Elected unanimously to serve for a two year term (July 2020 to June, 2022) on the Council of the Friends of the Redpath Museum:

President: Rosemary Wagner

Vice-President: Holly Ghandhi

Recording Secretary: Jessica Ford

Friends-at-Large: Dajou Cottrell, Fern Trevor-Deutsch, Alexandre Potvin-Demers, Ilse Sullivan, Pam Miller, Claire Heenan, Geralyn Trudel

Honourary Life Members: Lee DesRosiers, David Green, Graham Bell (appointed)

Four Museum Liaisons will attend Council meetings: Director, one person from Public Program division, one person from the Administrative division and one person from the Curatorial division.

Two representatives from the Museum's student clubs: V-P internal Redpath Museum Society (RMS) – Saida Jaime Elizondo and President of Graduate Association of Redpath Museum (GARM) has designated member Anthony Smith.

Land Acknowledgement

McGill University is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. McGill honours, recognizes and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we meet today.
