There were 30 scientific posters on view, ranging from RCN Quality Council and Supportive Care Program posters,  to RCN Disease Site Group projects,  CQI Research Grants and Quality Improvement Initiatives Grants (QI2).

RCN Retreat 2017

The Rossy Cancer Network held its 3rd Annual Retreat at the Plaza Centre-Ville in Montreal on November 10, 2017 and the day was a resounding success!

Close to 200 physicians, nurses, allied health professionals,  researchers and patient representatives came together to review the work undertaken in the network in the past year and to discuss new initiatives that could help integrate the network in terms of supportive and palliative care, urgent care needs and leading-edge treatments.

Breast: Working as a coordinated network to address controversies in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and to implement targeted interventions to improve clinical trial activity  

Gastrointestinal: Ensuring stage III colon cancer patients are treated according to recommended guidelines  

Genitourinary: Monitoring the rate of positive surgical margins after radical prostatectomy and improving access to treatment (neo-adjuvant chemotherapy and cystectomy) for bladder cancer patients 

Gynecology: Improving turnaround time for pathology results and evaluating the effectiveness of a joint tumour board between the JGH and MUHC
