New Chief and Head of Child Psychiatry: Dr. Martin Gauthier

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Martin Gauthier has been appointed as the Director of the McGill University Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Montreal Children’s Hospital of the McGill University Health Centre, effective September 1, 2012.

Dr. Gauthier is a highly respected clinician and dedicated teacher who has provided interim leadership to the MCH Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry since from September 2010. He has been a member of our department and a staff member at the Montreal Children’s Hospital since 1984. Dr. Gauthier’s leadership skills have had a significant impact on the department’s capacity to adapt successfully to numerous challenges and as the new Head, Dr. Gauthier will be responsible for leading patient care, education, and research activities of the division.
