The Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic) oversees and is responsible for McGill’s strategic academic planning and initiatives, which are designed to enhance and sustain our position and reputation among the world’s leading universities. Central to this effort, ASAP 2012: Achieving Strategic Academic Priorities, the University’s next strategic plan, outlines priorities, goals, objectives and actions for the next five years. To learn more, visit the ASAP 2012 website.
ASAP 2012 is a living document that informs University direction, including efforts to strengthen teaching and learning on our campuses. As this strategic plan emphasizes, new modes of learning and the demands of our digitally born students and other stakeholders require that we harness advancing technologies to energize and improve the educational environment for undergraduate, graduate and professional students. Toward this end, the Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic) stewards the McGill Innovative Learning Environments (MILE) project to strengthen teaching and learning for students on our campuses, and through McGillX MOOCs, for learners around the world.
