A message from Heather Munroe-Blum, Principal and Vice-Chancellor, McGill University, November 1st, 2012
I write to share with you the good news that McGill has, for the eighth year in a row, finished first in the Maclean’s university rankings for the 15 Canadian universities in the medical/doctoral schools category.
McGill also ranked 18th in the world in the 2012 QS World University Rankings, and placed 34th globally in the recently published Times Higher Education world University Rankings for 2012-13.
The Maclean’s results, along with our continued high standing in these other international rankings made public earlier this fall, is indeed recognition of what we in McGill know: that we are a great university and all of us should be proud to be part of it.
I applaud the commitment to excellence of colleagues and students, across the University, and in our associated hospitals and research institutes. Thank you, to each and every one of you, for working so hard every day on behalf of McGill and its important mission.
