Respect and Inclusion in Campus Life

To ensure McGill's values and principles are upheld with regard to respect, tolerance and inclusiveness within the McGill community, the following initiatives are now in place:

  •  a task force to make recommendations on how to ensure that McGill's values and principles of academic freedom, integrity, responsibility, equity and inclusiveness are respected
  •  a phone line where members of the McGill community can seek support following experiences of exclusion or discrimination on our campuses

In addition, to address disturbing allegations of anti-Semitism surrounding votes taken at the Students’ Society of McGill University (SSMU) General Assembly on October 23, Principal Fortier has appointed retired Professor of Education and former Ombudsperson for Students, Dr. Spencer Boudreau, to conduct an investigation.
