The peersupport [at] mcgill.ca (Peer Programs Network) project was launched in January 2014 with the intent to strengthen, develop, and support existing and developing peer support and students helping students programs in order to promote a culture of student leadership and enhance student engagement. Since then, Peer Programs Network has evolved into Students Helping Students.
Coordinated by Student Services' Campus Life & Engagement, the project is led by Gilbert Lin, Program Administrator and overseen by a multidisciplinary team:
- Ian Simmie, Director, Campus Life & Engagement
- TBA, Project Assistant
In addition, the Peer Programs Network benefits from the specific subject matter expertise of several advisors, including:
- Joan Butterworth, Leadership Training Facilitator, Campus Life & Engagement
- Staff members of Healthy McGill
This project is partially funded by the Meighen Foundation.
