Hadi Karsoho is a doctoral student in the Departments of Sociology and Social Studies of Medicine at McGill University. His thesis will look at the claims-making activities of health care professionals in the controversies over end-of-life care including, but not limited to, the attempts to legalize euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. Mr. Karsoho considers himself an interdisciplinary scholar, having received training in sociology, anthropology, biomedical ethics, mass communications, and public health. His areas of interest include end-of-life care broadly defined and qualitative research methods, especially discourse analysis.
