The mandate of the OSD is to facilitate and support the inclusion of diverse learners.  Much of this work is focused on developing and encouraging on both campuses, practices which are in line with the Social Model of Disability and Universal Design.  Despite the ongoing progressive implementation of the Universal Design model, there may still be situations when students feel they are experiencing specific barriers in their learning.  It is at this stage that students should contact the OSD for more targeted support in obtaining a barrier free access to course content or modes of evaluation.
