Indigenous Open House
Are you Indigenous and interested in learning more about McGill University?
We invite you to attend the Indigenous Open House at McGill's First Peoples' House!
Come visit First Peoples' House and learn about the McGill community, as well as the resources and support available to Indigenous students at McGill.
Since 1997, First Peoples' House has provided a home away from home for Indigenous students at the University. For nearly 30 years, First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students have found a welcoming space where they can connect with other Indigenous students, engage with their cultures, access support, and build lasting relationships throughout their time at McGill.
Whether you are exploring your options, preparing your application, or waiting to hear back from McGill, you will have the opportunity to meet Indigenous students and staff, ask questions, and learn about the support services available to you.
Program
The morning will begin with a presentation from the First Peoples' House team about the many resources available to Indigenous students at McGill, including funding opportunities, housing, and student services.
You will then hear from Indigenous McGill students about their experiences and student life. There will be opportunities to connect with them, ask questions, and learn what to expect as an Indigenous student at the University.
The morning will conclude with an optional campus tour, giving you the chance to explore the University and get a feel for campus life.
Food and refreshments will be provided. Enjoy a snack, meet your peers, and experience the welcoming community at First Peoples' House.
