Off-Campus Connects (OCX)
Open to: All undergraduate and graduate students
About: Off-Campus Connects is an orientation day hosted by Off-Campus & Commuter Student Support at the beginning of each academic year (end of August). It is similar to RezFest but geared towards incoming students not living in McGill residences. Apply to be:
- OCX Logistical Volunteers: Logistical volunteers are absolutely crucial to ensuring the event runs smoothly, from set up and take down in Parc Mont-Royal to potentially staffing stations of a hotspot/scavenger hunt, and more. Logistics volunteers will also have opportunities to engage with participants, helping students who don't live in residence feel welcome and ease into an exciting orientation week ahead.
- OCX Group Facilitators: Group Leaders are there to make sure that all OCX participants are having a great time. Each leader will be assigned a team of students and will accompany them throughout the day for scheduled activities, most importantly on a scavenger hunt around the McGill area. This is a good opportunity to impart some of your hard-earned wisdom from living off campus to the incoming students!
