Biography:
Laurence Bernard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at McGill University. She is an attending Gynecologic Oncologist at the McGill University Health Centre.
She completed her medical degree at McGill University following which she undertook an Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at the University of Ottawa. She pursued subspecialty training in Gynecologic Oncology at McMaster University. She completed a Masters in Public at the Harvard University Chan School of Public Health, and a postdoctoral research fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center.Her research focuses on rare gynecological tumours, including uterine sarcomas and germ cell ovarian tumours. She also is interested in endometrial cancer prevention and early interception. She is a co-investigator on many clinical trials investigating new precision therapies for gynecologic cancers.
