Academic Half-Days

RCPSC accredited residency programs have one mandated protected half-day teaching per week. Below you will find information on your academic half-day teachings given by McGill faculty. Emails with more information on the weekly teachings are sent periodically by the Program Coordinator. 

Program Time Location

Obstetrics and Gynecology Clerkship Students (Year 3)

Held on weeks 3, 7, 11, 15 of the 16 week block. 

Fridays from 1:00- 6:00 pm

Rotated between 4 sites (MUHC-RVH, JGH, Lasalle, SMH)

Gatineau hosts their own teaching
Obstetrics and Gynecology (PGY-1 to PGY-5) Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00 pm MUHC-RVH
Gynecologic Oncology (PGY-6 & PGY-7) Fridays from 2:00-4:00 pm MUHC-RVH or JGH depending on presenter

Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (PGY-6 & PGY-7)

Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00 pm

 MUHC Reproductive Centre (Place Dupuis)
Maternal-Fetal Medicine (PGY-6 & PGY-7) Fridays from 1:30-3:30 pm

MUHC-RVH or JGH depending on presenter

NB: There are exceptions to these teachings schedules in terms of time, dates and locations. Your Program Coordinator will advise you of any changes to the normal schedule.
