Student representatives

Dear Graduate Students/Candidates:

Here are several things you need to know about Macdonald Campus, Ste-Anne de Bellevue. Ste-Anne de Bellevue is bordered by Lac St. Louis with its beautiful scenery. It is mainly inhabited by students during the school year but attracts many tourists in the summer since boating is one of its major activity. St-Anne-de-Bellevue is approximately 35 km west of Montreal (about 30 min. by car).

Although most student clubs are on the downtown campus, several activities are offered on the Macdonald Campus. We have sporting facilities, including soccer field and arena, and organized activities by MCGSS and the students of the School. A computing center equipped with state of the art equipment is on the same floor as the School which also have a computer room for our graduate students.

The weather in the Montreal area is very particular, with temperatures ranging from 20-35°C in the summer and -10 to -30°C in the winter. All seasons are very beautiful and make outdoor sports enjoyable all year round. In summer biking and roller blading are in vogue, and for the winter days snow-boarding and downhill skiing are popular. Hiking is especially enjoyable in the fall when we have magnificent sceneries.
