Graduate Diploma Nurse Practitioner Programs

***IMPORTANT!***

Please note that this program is a secondary or follow-up program and is only open to students who have completed or are in the process of completing McGill’s MScA Nurse Practitioner Program OR McGill’s Graduate Certificate Nurse Practitioner Program in the relevant specialty.

The Graduate Diploma, in either Mental Health, Neonatology, Pediatrics or Primary Care, is the final step in the student's preparation to assume the new role as nurse practitioner. Students with completed graduate studies in nursing and experience in mental health, neonatology, pediatrics or primary care now combine knowledge of advanced practice with the biomedical sciences in order to prepare them for NP practice.

Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Graduate Diploma Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Graduate Diploma Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner or the Graduate Diploma Primary Care Nurse Practitioner programs, the student will be eligible to write the advanced practice licensing exam of the Order of Nurses of Quebec - Ordre des Infirmières et Infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).
