Dr. Carmen Loiselle is Director, McGill University Oncology Nursing as well as Associate Professor at the McGill Ingram School of Nursing. Dr. Loiselle is also Leader of the PORT (Psychosocial Oncology Research Training) program - a 12-year CIHR-funded transdisciplinary training program for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from a variety of disciplines pursuing research in cancer survivorship at six renowned Canadian universities. Dr. Loiselle is a Senior Nurse Scientist at the Centre for Nursing Research/Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research of the Jewish General Hospital. She holds a senior research career award from the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec (FRSQ) and has received operating grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC) and FRSQ. Dr. Loiselle serves as grant reviewer for CIHR, the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), the Canadian Breast Cancer Research Initiative (CBCRI), FRSQ as well as numerous international granting agencies.

Dr. Loiselle's research interests include differential cancer information-seeking behaviours, self-regulation, and psychosocial adjustment to cancer. She is currently conducting research on the health-related effects of e-health interventions among individuals newly diagnosed with cancer and their family as well as their use of health care services. In addition, Dr. Loiselle is investigating the impact of e-health interventions on health care providers’ workload and work satisfaction.
