 ormation session on our new Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program.\n\nO
 ur Program\n\nThe McGill Ingram School of Nursing (ISoN) Mental Health Nur
 se Practitioner Program\, along with its University of Quebec collaborator
 s\, is one of two training programs in the province of Quebec. \n\nThe aim
  of the program is to provide a unique opportunity for the development of 
 advanced practice mental health nursing skills. Students will explore area
 s pertaining to services offered in the first\, second and third line to b
 ecome familiar with several roles\, encompassing one of communicator\, col
 laborator\, manager\, scholar/professional advocate and leader. This will 
 be of importance when caring for individuals experiencing mental and physi
 cal distress\, with or without addictions across the lifespan.\n\nA system
 ic\, collaborative and strengths-based approach with the family is central
  as thorough mental health evaluation\, pharmacotherapy and prescriptive a
 uthority for invasive exams may become part of treatment. Education\, cris
 is intervention\, planning\, liaison and follow-up are strong components o
